Registration For Online-Only Curriculum Now Closed

Online only screengrabUPDATE: Registration for the Online-Only curriculum is now closed. The curriculum is being offered to families who do not want their students to attend in-person, five-days-a-week lessons in Perkins Local School buildings. 

As of Thursday, Aug. 27, nearly 400 students had enrolled in the Online-Only curriculum.

The Online-Only classes begin on Tuesday, Sept. 8, for students who choose the Online-Only Option. (In-person lessons begin on Monday, Aug. 31, with a staggered start.)

The Online-Only Option will be available via North Point Educational Service Center’s Schools PLP program for Grades K-8, and via Perkins High School’s existing Online Academy for Grades 9-12.

Families who opt into the Online-Only curriculum will receive follow-up information on class schedules, supplies, and how to access the classwork.

They also will be notified of Perkins Schools teachers who will be working with them.

Perkins Schools teachers Kristine Dinovo, Pamela Castello, Robert Myer, Sarah Baer, and Stephanie Dubois are among staff members who will be working with the Online-Only students.

Like all Perkins students, those in the Online-Only Option will be issued a Chromebook laptop computer to use for their lessons. (Current students should already have their computers from last school year.) For new students, the school district technology staff will be contacting families on when to get their computers.
